Airport professions now have their own campus at Paris-Orly
In the heart of the OrlyTech business park, a new campus dedicated to airport professions provides young people in the region with a stepping stone to employment and offers professionals in the sector the opportunity to develop their skills. Welcomed at the start of the 2025 academic year, the first trainees experienced hands-on training that closely mirrors the realities of the hospitality and operations professions.
A project for the region
In partnership with the Faculté des métiers de l’Essonne (FDME), which trains more than 3,000 apprentices each year, Groupe ADP inaugurated Campus Paris-Orly by FDME in September 2025. Located in the heart of the OrlyTech park, it offers training programs focused entirely on careers in airport hospitality and operations. With the support of several partner companies (GSF, GEH, Aviapartner, Alysia, Transavia, Atalian, CPC Aeroshuttle, City One), this innovative initiative further strengthens the airport’s ties with the southern Île-de-France region.
Its goal is to develop relevant training programs that are perfectly tailored to the needs of companies in the sector and to meet the high expectations regarding training and employment expressed by local residents during the consultation process for the Paris-Orly 2035 project.

"This campus represents a concrete commitment: to connect local talent with job opportunities, turn dreams into opportunities, and make Paris-Orly a hub for career development."
Hands-on training for the talent of the future
Five major job categories with current hiring needs have been identified in collaboration with airlines and airport service providers: airport passenger assistance, cleaning and sanitation, operations control (managing the smooth flow of ground operations), ground control (managing aircraft on the tarmac), and assistance for people with disabilities. The campus thus trains ground handling staff, gate staff, facility maintenance professionals, and flight dispatchers alike.
To better immerse themselves in the realities of the airport environment and prepare to meet the sector’s demands, trainees have access to state-of-the-art facilities on campus that replicate their future work environment at full scale.
Opportunities for all
Campus Paris-Orly by FDME is not just for young people looking for work. It will also welcome professionals seeking to gain new skills or retrain, with the support of major companies that are committed to providing them with mentorship throughout their careers. The involvement of these companies, which ensures the high quality of the training, will facilitate the vocational integration of those trained at the Campus.
From January 2026, continuing education courses have been added to the program: hospitality and customer service, assisting people with disabilities, intercultural communication, business English, and the basics of sign language.
Lastly, to train professionals able to address the challenges of inclusion for passengers and customers with disabilities, a certification program for staff assisting people with disabilities is also offered. It focuses on communication, an introduction to sign language, and safety.
A new generation of talent is thus emerging, shaping the future of airports and further enhancing the quality of service provided to passengers.
